COMPLETE JUVENILE HADROSAUR RADIUS DINOSAUR BONE

Two Medicine Formation - Browning, Montana, U.S.A.

LATE CRETACEOUS PERIOD:  80 - 74 million years ago

A dinosaur potentially sheds thousands of teeth in its lifetime but a dinosaur only has one of each bone position.  This is a beautifully preserved COMPLETE RADIUS DINOSAUR BONE from a Hadrosaurid dinosaur.  The radius is in the forearm of the dinosaur and articulates alongside the ulna in the lower arm.  It is scientifically impossible to attribute to a specific species.  Quite possibly it is Hypacrosaur as it was found in association with other remains of that dinosaur.  Its size conveys it came from a sub-adult dinosaur.  It is as heavy as stone and is completely petrified.  Stunning actual dinosaur bone surface detail is intact and amazing to behold in person.  When it was found, it was broken in several pieces but it is complete and all there.  The only work done was the repair of the sections and cracks.  This very high grade dinosaur bone can boast of having NO FABRICATION RESTORATION done to iAn affordable authentic dinosaur bone of the highest natural quality and of a size easy to display in a cabinet alongside dinosaur teeth.

PERFECT TO DISPLAY WITH ANY MEAT-EATING DINOSAUR FOSSILS FROM THE NORTH CENTRAL UNITED STATES AS THESE DINOSAURS (HADROSAURIDS) WERE ONE OF THE MOST PREYED UPON BY THE CARNIVORES OF THE TIME.

Hadrosaurs were herbivores (plant-eaters) and only had teeth in the cheek area, not the front of the mouth.  The many rows of teeth were perfect for effectively grinding up rough vegetation for easy digestion.  This unique group of dinosaurs grew in sizes over 40 feet and probably weighed over 5 tons!  In-depth studies of a variety of duckbill remains indicate that these were strictly land-based dinosaurs that walked predominantly on all fours but had the ability to stand on their hind legs.

Hadrosaur remains have been found in China, North America, South America (Argentina) and Europe.
